EMWA releases its newest Medical Writing issue

The European Medical Writers Association (EMWA) has published the latest issue of its Medical Writing journal. Issue 3 of Volume 33 focusses on clinical trial transparency and disclosure. This is an area that has seen considerable changes in the past years: the European Union Clinical Trials Regulation (CTR) has been fully implemented, the European Medical Association (EMA) Policy 0070 has been paused and restarted, while the global pandemic has led to an increase in requests for COVID-19 vaccine clinical trial data. The journal issue highlights the influence that medical writers have on clinical trial transparency and disclosure. It features articles containing valuable advice on various topics regarding personal data protection and transparency in different types of written communications, such as plain language summaries and patient education materials.
